A Safe Place for Victims
The most important thing to remember about human trafficking is that no one is exempt from it. People often think that having the right home, living in the right neighborhood, or existing within the right economic status will protect those they love. The fact is that girls can be snared in any scenario. Pimps and predators work as professional manipulators, lavishing victims with gifts, compliments, and emotional bribery to win affection, then suddenly enslaving them into a life of violence, threats, and prostitution.
Girls that have been trapped in slavery have seen bribery. They’ve experienced grandiose promises and have acclimated themselves to having their hopes dashed again and again.
We have an incredible opportunity, then: to show women the first genuine love they may have ever experienced and see them successfully freed from a cycle of dysfunction.
Our renovated home will be just one of the practical vehicles that God can use to show pure and real love to ladies emerging from the most desperate of lifestyles. These girls must know that comfort and security are not related to sex. We’re already praying over this property, that it will be a place of peace where women can be healed and restored. The Holy Spirit will cover these girls from the moment they step foot on the property. This home is going to be the environment that entices them to stay and receive the comfort of the Holy Spirit. It may sound backward, but when you read how these victims are captured, the answer becomes quite clear: we will lavish these girls with safety, security, comfort, and most of all… love.
