BRANCH Newsletter
Dear BRANCH Supporters,
Thank you for your prayers. As always keep that previous prayer list at your side. We are in constant need of that throughout this journey. As we receive answers to prayers, we are going to share those with you to show you the power of prayer. It is important that every aspect of this ministry is rooted in prayer since we are going in to dark evil places. These victims as well as all those involved in their restoration process need to be covered in consistent prayer.
It is so easy to look at the stats all about human trafficking and think it is too much to handle. You may even think how can one person help in such a dark realm? Regardless of how dark and evil this arena looks, God has given us the tools to combat this evil. If you are starting to become aware of the evilness of human trafficking, then God has planted a seed within you. Look at the first instance of trafficking and slavery in the Bible. Joseph was sold by his brothers into slavery. Look at how God took care of Joseph at every stage. Some stages were not so nice, but in the midst of Joseph’s slavery, Joseph used his gift of interpreting dreams. That gift from God gave him favor at one point and look at how God used him. It also vindicated Joseph and he rose above his circumstances.
Psalms 37:1-6 states,
“Fret not yourself because of evildoers; be not envious of wrongdoers! For they will soon fade like the grass and wither like the green herb. Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness. Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act. He will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday.”
So as we move forward in helping become a piece of the rescue and restoration, God is going to do an incredible work in the lives of the victims we help rescue and he will vindicate the victims! THAT is what becomes exciting and makes all the hard work and every drop of sweat worth it!!!
You may be asking what is currently happening with BRANCH? Well we are still looking into fundraising options while awaiting our IRS approval. We must wait to talk to our accounting professional until July 8th to get our answers on a few things, but in the meantime we are preparing a path for victims that have surfaced needing a place to stay. We are looking at some property to purchase (possibly) and hoping that we can do it for a right price. This is probably going to have to come out of personal pockets, but God always makes a way. We ask you to pray about this while we await our accounting answers. We do not want to get ahead of God and so this is a very challenging time while we are trying to help a couple of victims. Waiting is the hardest part. Those of us at BRANCH right now are doing a lot of homework, research, and meetings. When ground is broken in any new avenue, it is always a challenge. So we are beginning to connect with people who are passionate about helping
these victims. Needs are starting to surface and we will keep you up to date on those.
In the mean time, keep praying with us. God is on the move!
