State Police Looking Into Abduction Attempt!
PRESCOTT, MI — Two women allegedly attempted to lure children into their car outside of the Prescott Party Store Aug. 20.
Sgt. Ron Taylor, with the Michigan State Police, said the MSP was dispatched to the scene at approximately 5:30 p.m. He said a mother and a father were at the store with their children, 10 and 5, and the father went in the store, and then the mother realized she also had to go in for something. Taylor said the children remained in the vehicle with the windows open, and that’s when the two women allegedly approached them.
“There were two women there who tried to talk the kids into getting out of their car and into the car with them,” he said.
Allegedly, one of the two women exited the party store and approached the children, and then a second woman waiting in a silver-colored vehicle parked at the store also approached the children.
Taylor said the MSP is investigating the incident, and is attempting to retrieve surveillance footage from the store that could help them identify the women.
